Olympic Village for 2036 Indian Olympics
Overview
My architecture thesis explores the design of a modular Olympic Village for the 2036 Indian Olympics, planned not as a temporary mega-event infrastructure but as a long-term solution for rehabilitating urban sprawl. The project focuses on creating flexible, prefabricated housing units that can be efficiently transformed post-Games into affordable residential neighborhoods, integrating social infrastructure, mobility, and sustainable systems. By linking event-based architecture with long-term urban needs, the thesis addresses housing shortages, land misuse, and equitable urban growth in rapidly expanding Indian cities.
